Grand opening Saturday at Midwest Mission in Jefferson

Midwest Mission is hosting a grand opening Saturday, June 17, for its second location, located at 219 N. Chestnut St in Jefferson (formerly Aureon, and prior to that, Fareway). The open house is from 10 am to 2 pm, with the ribbon cutting at 10 am.

Persons who attend the grand opening will learn more about Midwest Mission, see ways to get involved, and shop at the gift shop, Midwest Mission Gifts.

There will also be an opportunity to participate in a Rice Meal Pack, to assemble nutritional meals for people who are in need. Recently, these meals have been sent to Ukraine and Turkey to assist with disaster relief.

For 23 years, Midwest Mission has sent hope and empowerment from its location in Pawnee, IL. This new location in Jefferson will allow more people to get involved, and more people to receive the resources they need.

About Midwest Mission – Our mission is to bring the hearts and hands of God’s people together to transform resources into humanitarian aid, so we can show God’s love in a practical way to those in need in their time of crisis.

Around the world and around the corner people are lacking simple resources that could improve their circumstances. That’s why Midwest Mission sends tangible resources to make an intangible difference in their lives through hope and empowerment. In times of crisis internationally and in the United States, disaster relief, health, education, and micro business supplies are distributed freely through trusted partner nonprofits.

In 2022, Midwest Mission sent $7.99 million of humanitarian aid in 299 domestic and 48 international shipments. Visit www.midwestmission.org to learn more.
